just got a heat sink from a computer and heat sink past and cable ties
I just put it on
but it did move a bit so put some small cable ties on and faced the heat sink facing up

what are the benefits of doing this? is it going to cool it down more than the standard heatsink?
have you used thermal paste between the two to help with the transfer of the heat?
