how do i fit my mk5 gti bumper on my mk5 gt tdi golf
« on: 01 February 2010, 22:48 »
hi all

i bought a full gti bumper with grills and fogs and that.. went to fit it 2day and it didn't fit on my car

it sat 1" higher than it should have

i don't know if i need a different front panel because my car is 2005 and the bumper is from and edition 30 2007...

every1 told me it should be a direct fit but it didn't

if any1 can tell me what reason it might be that would be very helpful

thanks

Is your current bumper the GT bumper or the regular Golf bumper?
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

im trying to find the guide for you. the one i linked in the previous post was all done on a newer tdi. being as you have an older tdi im 99% certain that you have to replace the bar/cross member, whatever you want to call it, that the bumper sits and locates on. aswell as a couple of other parts.

someone will be able to answer this for you at around 5pm onwards when most people get back from work.
