another update as i've pulled my finger out and got some more done to the rocco....

firsty i've baught myself a nice shiny rear strut brace ..

but shiny polished alluminium in the inside of my car just doesn't cut it for me so out came some more stickers

then got to some propper work and started on pulling out the engine . it didn't take long as the head was off and its a carb so wasn't loads of nasty wiring. besides not having an engine crain it went rather well

then out came the gearbox leaving a messy oily engine bay. so i started cleaning it up and this is how i left her 2dai

comments welcome...

Nice going.... looks like your steering boot has been melting like mine was, you'll want to get that sorted before the new motor goes in...  I replaced and heat wrapped mine.

Cool, make sure you wrap it, especially if you're going to run with a four branch.

time for another update i think starting with the slight change of plan with the engine thats going back in...

still struggling to find a 2litre block within budget so for now the rebuilt 8v engines going back in so that i can get back on the road and driving again..

so basically i've stripped the 8v engine down checking over evrything and rebuilt it back up again with new headgasket and all other gaskets sealed up when needed. also fixed the webber carb from hell so may have less problems with that now and hoping that with the new head gasket will do the trick.. also painted up the engine block purely for looks...

then finnally finishes off cleaning up the engine bay and tidying up the wiring and i've only got one more thing to do there wich is remove the quickly slapped together bulkead repair from my clutch cable pulling through and do a propper job if it and fit a new steering column boot

also got myself a new steering wheel but want to sticker bomb the cheap looking chrome centre of it to brake it up abit.
and egnore the mess that has accumilated in the footwells

and to finish it off i'm fitting a new engine mount as my old one had the bolt seized inside it so need a new one there aswell as replacing the old fuel lines and i've made myself a single lamp 5 slat badgeless grille....

and my dog posing in the 2 pictures of the grille

comments welcome.
