can some one explain why no one will insure me on a 1300 mk2 jst because its had alloys, new back box and bin lowerd 60mm?? the best quote iv got is £3000 n that was with mi dad as the main driver!! GRRRRR really anoyed im picking it up tomorrrow and i wnt be insured!!! evan if i only tell them it has alloys its still about 1500 to insure!!

mind you, the max fine for having no insurance is like £200 or something silly.

im only 17! when i was on my standerd 1300 mk2 under my dads name it was only £500 a year!! i dont understand why 3 mods would make it £2500 more!!! GRRRRRR

hmm, dunno what the going rate is for 17yr olds tbh as we have not dealt woth under 19yr old for over 10years, still sounds a bit steep though!

modding your car in any way will make your insurance go up.  I had a 1.3 8v fiesta.  about 3 horse power.  i was getting silly quotes like that from certain insurance providers despite me asking them to "quote me happy". 
I found that swift cover, the one thats purely online was well cheaper.  One reason is that there was no option for me to enter all my mods, (which were purely asthetic anyway).

mate, if their website does not ask then they probably dont cover mods so you may as well just save you cash and not bother cos you probably aint covered properly anyway! 

You must declare all modifications asthetic of not!
