Hi all so looking for a little help. I have a mk3 golf 16v that I have had a long time. Recently I cleaned up the engine changed the rocker cover gasket and gave everything associated with the throttle etc a good clean. When I put it all back together it would not idle and the ISV was shot. Ordered a new one from Germany a LOWE one it arrived I fitted it and it idle at around 3k even when I warmed up the car. So I contacted them and they sent me another this idle at around 2k so I order the cheap 20 quid one from China it arrived and idles correctly however if I drive the car it then idles at 3k when I stop at lights etc. I have e replaced the air sensor in the air filter and no change. My question is what else could cause the idle issue? Could it be the throttle? Any ideas are welcome especially cheap ones. Thanks
