1.9TDI MATCH
« on: 21 May 2011, 19:21 »
Hi all, not usually on this section but would like to know ur thoughts on the 1.9tdi match mk5. I am currently in talks with VW over getting one which includes trading in my mk4. Now they have explained that the BHP is 105? is that correct? and whats the 105bhp like? with it being an 07 or 08 plate it should be more of a newer 105bhp than an older cars 105bhp but is it good overall? I would like a 140 or 170 model gt sport but they seem to be quite rare and even the 2 nearest VW to me havent had one in 6 months due to increase in want.

Thanks to all who replies.

Hey CraigDavieBeattie

I have just traded in my GT TDI 130 for a GT 170.  I tested the 105bhp, not bad when running around but...  when accelerating you could tell its alot slower than 130 mk4

Until you map it

GT 140's are a great buy - what's the budget?

with trade in im thinking a budget of 9000. now ive got the 1.4 of the mk4s and already been quoted 2400 from vw for that. seems a bit of a shame for the condition its in and millege but hey .. vw are knobs lol

Well they have told me they aint going to be under 10000. vw will only sell as old as 07. i'd rather buy from vw than a street dealer.

Widen your horizons mate; loads of cars about.  Dealers have to pay for there shiny showrooms somehow

I saved a £1000 (eventually) by buying from an independent garage
