Title: Price Difference DSG v Manual
Post by: Beard on 11 August 2016, 12:46
Going to put my Mk V GTi up for sale in a month or so. Just trying to work out the right price and was wondering if there is any difference in desirability of manual vs DSG ? Car is relatively low mileage with a high spec otherwise.

Probably not... choices/choices. Two otherwise identical cars, the DSG will be worth a small amount more but pretty much impossible to compare.

I think DSG is becoming more desirable over time, so should be worth a bit more, probably somewhere between £250 and £500 is my guess. It was a £2000 option at the end of the day.

I reckon dsg would make more of a difference to values of mk7s w in 10 years time than it is to mk5s now. (My guesswork). I doubt there will be a lot in it for mk5 dsg over manual.
