The Mk3 Anniversary Thread **Pic Heavy**
« on: 21 April 2012, 17:42 »
Seen a few anniversaries on here lately so thought they deserved a thread in their own right and interested to know exactly how many there are on here. Post pictures up of your anni along with details of whether it has been modded or left (fairly) standard.

I'll start, recently lowered mine on Koni adjustable struts (set to their softest setting as more interested in comfort and looks than performance) and Eibach Sportline springs (30mm rear and 45-50mm front as stated on their website) with 10mm front lowering caps. Slightly higher at rear but pretty happy with the height and think it looks lower in the flesh. I know its not slammed but it just clears the speed bumps near me and already scraped the front splitter going up a small incline. Black VW badges other than that the rest OEM.

Plans for the future are probably some spacers to fill the arches better either 15 or 20mm (overall track widening) and tidying it up a bit more. New front wings as they are rotten under the trim and bonnet and grill respray to get rid of all the stone chips. Pressed plates also coming soon with forum group buy, cheers Wazzzer.

Before lowering 4x4 looks:

Wow I've seen this before on here and CGTI and knew it was heavily modded but didn't realise to this extent. Loving those seats and reusing the original fabric is a nice touch. What bhp and torque figures is it putting out?

Low geared mind, geared to do 141 MPH @ 7500 RPM in 6th.
