Woodruff key help
« on: 12 September 2012, 07:31 »
Woodruff key worn on kr 1.8 16v Garage recomends an engine rebuild or a brand new lump!

I've read you don't actually need to do either.

Hoping for some more options.

Thanks

Ive seen instances where crank pulley and crank nose had two holes drilled through pulley at 90 degree either side of woodruff key and then into the crank nose, then two dowell pins entered to keep it all in place. Get a new crank bolt also if its the 12sided bolt as these are stretch bolts.

Ill see can i find the link about the dowell pins

edit: same idea as this
