Few pics of it all back together.

Few fancy ones.

Will be sorting the tracking out this week, new track rods! Be pretty happy with it for the time being then.

Another great job, not my kind of colour but it still looks great.

Try to keep it on the road a bit a longer this time.  :lipsrsealed:

Does this one have a rear compensator fitted to the braking system?

Or is it ABS?

Your previous problems could have been avoided if you'd had fat birds in the back at the time, you know.

Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

Haha I will do! Its almost at the stage now where it all works and drives nice, etc, etc. Will have time then to tidy up the little niggly bits then!

I haven't touched the rear brakes as of yet! Still rolling drums! So yes, its all standard and I have checked this! I have looked over the car and so has my VW specialist friend. Doing everything to keep this one safe and bodge free, safety for the little man :)

The suspension isn't and it's considerably lower than it was when standard, so if this car hasn't got ABS and has a compensator, it must be adjusted as currently you are potentially in a similar situation as before.

How would I go about adjusting it correctly? And if I was to fit the disc brakes after, would it need adjusting again?

Thanks.

Wot he said.  Discs shouldn't make any difference - it's to do with the ride height - as it goes down the compensator opens and allows more force on the rear brakes.  Check to see if the disc part number is different to the drum one though - the percentage limitation might change disc vs drums.

Are you referring to yourself as the 'little man' or have you some some bird up the duff?

OK, but I didn't think the OEM compensator's were adjustable?

And yes DH, we are having a child.
