Show off your alloys thread
« on: 06 June 2011, 19:49 »
Hey guys, new here, and the search function gave me a million and one pointless threads XD sounds like a typical car forum to me!! I've just bought a MK3 gti 8v in dragon green, loving it, but, it's not me just yet as it's bog standard. s was wandering what alloys you guys had put on yours, rough prices on them, and how much you've lowered it by in order to get that "stance". Would be interested in hearing from a few of you and seeing this that I like and dislike.

I'm mainly looking for some VR6 style BBS rims, but would be nice to see what else works well!

My wheels are in the pic in my signiture bellow.
Can't post pics up at the mo as using my blackberry

They are 15“ lenso bsx
There are actuly fake split rims but they looks fecking awsum even close up.
Some people don't like them coz they aint real splits buy brand new with tyres they only cost me £600 but they look like wheels worth more.
I'm on coiloers that I have dropped as far as I can go without to much tyre rubbing.
My front vr style splitter is an inch or so from the floor.

These were mine:

15x8 bullet steels ET17 4x100.

Looked better with the G60 caps.

And am in the middle of refurbing some BBS solitudes with a polished lip:

7.5x17" ssw mesh et37 they come with a stainless rim so they wont corrode. 20mm spacers on the rear

no spacers and only 60/50mm drop in this one

Still no pics with the rear arches on must take some
