I worked it out that I got 400 miles to 38 ltrs...

Mostly motorway driving and yea, it's a diesel! (1.9TDI AHU)

Should I be getting more? (that's a steady 80mph methinks for most of it..)

Just filled up £40 & 290miles longest journey is around 30miles but most between 2-15miles.

when im doing the high speeds of the interstate roads there is no saving fuel no matter what you do

It's more the bendy roads in 2nd & 3rd that drain my fuel tank quickest!

I drive carefully to save petrol and get good mileage but I agree with Mikester, it should be  'drive it like you stole it!'

Totally mate, but not poodling in 5th at 30mph, and accelerating so slow that you fall asleep, make the most of those gears and engine! lol

Its not a crime to drive your car, just dont go around redlining off each traffic light...

actually i wasnt 

i was just gonna say i do the same most of the time, make full use of my engine within the speed limits.
