I’ve been playing with dynamic start assist and can’t tell any difference between early, normal and late.
I presume it’s got to do something with auto hold ? Google doesn’t bring anything up.
Has anyone tried this setting ?

Thanks

It is the delay on Auto Hold release.

Thanks for the reply. I can’t feel it’s any different. I’ll keep playing !

That’s true but I would like the brake to release quicker as I pull away. Being dsg it can be quite a jolt with a few revs. If that makes sense.

Understood. There does seem to be a degree of luck with how these things are set up. My first Mk7 was a GTD manual, which was set up to release a little early. I totally lost faith in it and used the manual switch, especially in queues on hills! My two GTIs, both DSGs, have been just about perfect in this repect, except that the current Performance car has become a bit sticky first thing, when the first couple of releases can be jolty and a little noisey.  I don’t think any adjustment would help though, as it’s then perfect again.

I'd never given the automatic handbrake much thought.  I always leave Auto Hold on.  And there's a final set of traffic lights when leaving the city where I work, which leads directly onto a dual carriageway, so as soon as they go green, if I'm at the front I always floor it like I've sat on a wasp.  I've never noticed the brake not releasing fast enough, although I likely wouldn't hear it over my music.  There doesn't seem to be any grab so I assume the computer releases it instantly???

Yes, if it’s set up right, as my two GTIs have been, it is instantaneous and seamless.

Having a session with my newly purchased Carista tomorrow. Has anyone tried “Throttle response behaviour”, or know what it does?
