My friend has just paid over £800 tax on an new car.

His view is that this is just a cost he has to pay for the cars he likes to buy.

Still a lot of money.

The ED 35 was over £300 tax for it's first year!

Disco 4 is one phenomenal car. Family's had them for a while.

Yeah it is.

I guess most people try not to think about as tax as it's included in the OTR price. Then again, if someone is spending £45k on a big car that'll do 25mpg, they're not short of a bob or two, so don't give it too much thought.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Especially like the mk1 gte.... Loved those when I was teenager and at the time my sister had a boyfriend with one. That's brought back some memories  :smiley:
