Mk8 R shifter paddles on Mk8 Clubsport
« on: 08 May 2021, 18:28 »
Hi all. After watching Volkswizard’s video of him installing the mk8 paddle shifters on his clubsport, I’m rather tempted myself. Wondering what you all think and if it’s worth the money for doing so. They look really good but they’re £260 for the pair

I guess the theory of relativity applies here.
£260 to one man is a fair old wedge. To another, it’s far less significant.

“Worth” is very dependent on circumstances.

The do look much better though.

Personally, I am waiting.

I don't think you need to either use the entire paddle switch units nor dismantle the steering wheel like that.

I think you can pop the pin out just like the Mk7 and then use some chinese made parts....

Just need to wait a while for AliExpress to have them, its still early days for the Mk8.

If I was brave enough to do it myself I would say it’s worth it.

That is on the basis that if it had been a £275 factory or dealer fit option, then I would have ticked it when ordering.
