Air Con
« on: 12 March 2025, 02:47 »
Strange one, but hoping someone can help as I’m at my wits end!

When starting the car, the fan speed for the air con sets itself to 4, every single time I turn the car off and on. Am I missing something! I’ve checked air con settings etc but to no avail

is it to do with the auto setting perhaps ? it can be very blowy if left on..

I also thought that, but I don’t use the auto setting, never have!

Sounds like another software bug to me... in the same way the Mk8 used to not remember AC sync...

Mmm. An odd one. I have had my 8.5 for 3 months and haven seen that problem. If it were a software bug you'd think others would have noticed it. Has your software been updated recently? I will take a look in AC settings later.

I've never noticed this, I've mine set to AUTO - 22 degrees virtually all the time though, so I rarely bother going into the climate settings to even see what the fan speed is.

Mine is also set on auto, and it just adjusts according to the temperature required. in fact, I think you'rs mustn't be on auto as I don't think the fan speed is shown in auto mode is it? maybe in manual mode 4 is the default value when turning the car on, I'd have to try it out.

Mines an 8.5 too, I’ve only had it 2 weeks, but I’m wondering if maybe the software is a slightly older version!
