Title: Bye Bye Dynaudio
Post by: evo1986 on 21 June 2019, 22:45
I was at an interesting meeting yesterday and although details of MK8 are still very much under wraps they did confirm that MK8 Golf will come with Harmon Kardon speaker as an option.......rather than Dynaudio.

Also confirmed there will be very few buttons but instead lots of touch screens........

Having heard a Harmon Kardon factory fitted system in a new 240i I can say that it sounds better that Dynaudio to my ears and Dynaudio is no slouch.

I always thought Dynaudio had the best heritage in terms of speakers (Samsung's Harmon Kardon vs high end Danish audio) so I really need to hear the HK - they have been the BMW choice for a while haven't they.

I would agree with this. I had HK in my 3 series coupe. Dynaudio is good but HK better.

I’ve had HK in a bmw before and I wasn’t that impressed, much prefer the dynaudio (although it does take a bit more setting up)
