Unfortunately all car companies are being forced down that route as DRLs are becoming a legal requirement on cars manufactured after a certain date coming up very soon.
Yeah it's becoming mandatory in Europe soon, if not mandatory already. Though to be fair it really helps visibility during the day and at night for those people who don't like using their headlights
