offset is the key obviously otherwise it won't clear the calipers properly
-
anyone no the offsets?
-
think the Golf is offset is 42 or thereabouts; the lesser the number the further the wheels stick out.
i was asking if you knew the offset of the celica wheels
-
il go look it out lol
-
by the looks of things i looked it up its says they have an offset of 45

They'll fit, bolt on and go over the calipers okay, but the centre bore is a few mm off. You'll want some 57.1 x 1.5mm spigot rings in there.

the mk4 is 5x100.........the passat (from about 96 i believe) and mk5 golf use 5x112
-
As Topher says, the bore size is different, so you will need those adaptors....... I don't think they'll be cheap buiying them on their own, either?? :undecided:

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread, just a very straightforward question, I only bought my Golf Mk4 this week, and I couldn't find a relevant thread.
Simple question, I know 18" wheels will go on a Golf mk4, but can you just advise if there's any rubbing/bottoming out issues I should be wary of?
The car isn't lowered or uprated sprung (yet) and I know it'll screw up my mpg and speedo to an extent, but I just dont want to fit them, put 3 mates in the car and find its rubbing.
Sorry again, not relevant to this but cant find the answer to this easily on the web.

Well I don't even know what this means but you guys seem to ;o)
The fitment on the ones I'm looking at is
Size: 7.5x18" 5x100/114 ET40
with 225/40/18 tyres?
