Mean while here's the New lump ready for a service

Lifting a 1/4 ton engine out a van onto a stand is not the easiest thing to do!

coming along nicely now, engine is all hooked up to the gearbox, fuel lines are hooked up bar blanking one of that's not needed now. electrics were 'fun' but are all sorted and it's cranking which ment undoing the crank bolt was a bit easier.

timing belt and tensioner changed

old

New

the old belt looked fairly new so hopefully that's a sign the engine has been looked after!

still to do- hook up the New custom down pipe, connect up the pas pipes, lower the rad mounts on the front x member, hook up water hoses and turbo intercooler hoses.

hoping to have it running this weekend!

Looking good. The whole crank the engine trick scares the hell outta me for timing belts. I guess nothing can go wrong if there's no fuel though!

Where all my moneys went.
