Has anybody managed to get an MOT with a de-cat pipe fitted? mine is going for mot tomorrow :sick:

Technically it can still pass the emissions test without a cat but in practice that would be difficult.

If your fuel/air mixture is good and you do not burn any oil, then it will pass.

I'd take it in and see what they say... if it passes then great. if not...... put your cat back on if you have it and it should pass....

If it failed badly then your mixture is wrong or the oil is burning.

would make your life 10 times easier if you could put it back on. Assuming you still have it? Shouldn't take too long an also it could also save you money  :grin:

As long as your emissions are within the limit you will be ok.

But cat equiped cars have a lot lower emission levels set than pre cat cars. Save yourself a possible retest and fee and put the cat back on for the mot.
