notices pics of the M235i are starting to appear

1 series has never pushed the right buttons for me given the looks, however, this in 2M guise may tempt me

That looks really nice, we were actually looking at 135i Coupes before we bought the Golf, but there wasn't enough headroom or space for me, hopefully the new 2 Series may be a touch bigger.

Have to admit too having now spent a fair amount of time driving my 3 series ( 6k miles) the Golf interior now feels noticeably inferior in build quality/ tactility by comparison so I am very tempted to move our car into an Audi/BMW at change time.

little update on my clio

today i iron-x'd the car, snow foam and wash

then 1x coat of SRP, 1x coat of poorboys EX-P lft to cure for an hour, 1x coat nattys paste wax

looks much better and alot of swirl marks gone. paint looks much better

all window rubbers and seals and black plastic treated with poorboys NL spray. i cleaned the engine bay and dressed the rubber parts

good clean inside using poorboys natural look and a good hoovering! lots of dog hairs which drove me nuts.

cleaned inside and outside and rain-x'd all the glass.

sealed the wheels with poorboys wheel sealant.

fitted silver indicator bulbs

didnt have time to remove the wheels and clean/seal inside them but maybe tomorrow

also got a lot of 3M sheet to fit to the front end

pipercross filter bought last night, i might take it in tomorrow for wheel alignment

I'm no sure how it would do a s a family car! The boot is decent and enough room in it but getting kids in the back with the recaro seats is a nightmare. I tried and couldn't get the baby seat past the seat and b pillar!

Good excuse not to take the kids though!

The clios are a nice car, I've just sold my 182, but to be honest I prefer the solidity of the Golf. I read a lot about chocolate gearboxes sp that put me off.
Yes I am a pessimist as I asked about the timing tensioners on the Golf but my other car is a TVR so I'm well versed in the subject
