LL. that sh1t is sick! loving the colour. only if you was close id give you my spoiler to wrap

There's a thing that this country uses for thing like that, I can't for the life of me remember what it's called but it allows people to send letters and packages around....what was it....

If Shady likes it, it probably isn't that cool..

Says the man that bought my polished alloys. Good one. :afro:

Alex, I love this, will have to meet up soon so I can see!

Cheers mate! And as shady said, can always send it, but got that added cost of postage. PM if you want.

Yeah bud, maybe at a show or at Southwest Autosport? I got a club stand there for PlymouthCityDubs.

Not checked in on this thread for a while, but simply

Loving the colour, loving the all reds, loving the skills! Makes me want to be back in a MK3. Cannot wait to see it finished!

Haha nice one dude. Me either, just the front bumper left to wrap!

Just needs a nice set of wheels to finish it off now.

Should have the rest of the parts for my splits back next week and my adaptors should be done, so I'll have spanking new wheels and tyres :)

So as I said above, just the front bumper left. Leave the biggest c##t til last!

Few more pics (again):

How is it working out cost wise compared to a full respray in that colour and how durable is it going to be.

I'm curious on this also...

It's a shame how much wrap appears to get wasted on certain parts but I suppose that's the price you pay to avoid any splits or joins.

Looks fantastic though and the finish of the job looks spot on in the pictures... :afro:

Whats the proper way of looking after a wrapped car in regards of keeping it clean, shiny etc?

I think its similar in cost price to spraying, but to get a spray job done right, you a booth and equipment. For wrapping you need a squeegee and a heatgun. Both are labour intensive and so that is where the cost is, so doing it myself means its much cheaper than getting it sprayed! With spraying you can have a terrible job or an awesome job whereas wrapping can only be so good. You'll never get it as good as an expensive respray but it looks great still and is cheaper.

It is quite durable, rated for 5 years weathering. We'll see how it fairs up!

Thanks guys :)

Haha nice one dude, should try get to our meet sunday!

Keeping it clean, just use soapy water. They do have a vinyl wax I was told, helps remove surface scratches but its not really necessary. The 5 year rating is based on just the vinyl itself. I'll just be keeping it clean stop dirt from getting under the edges.

Would imagine it's quite hard to chip vinyl.
