I'll try this as it boils my pi44 that VW have this as a subscription service! Will report back.

It works, I did it a few months ago and it is still working better than it did originally.

Just checked on VCDS, and 32782 is the one that worked for my car. I did try both and the other one didn't make a difference.

Just need the maps updating for mine now as the new bypass still shows me driving across a field.

Changed my TMC number over to 32782 but doesn't seem to work for me. Perhaps because I only have discovery media system?  (VW tech is not my chosen subject obvs) Then I reset by holding the power button till it turns off and on? but still couldn't seem to get it to work, so thought best to leave alone.

What was the original number before you changed it? My car is a 2013/4 MIB1 Discovery Media.

My number was 32768 if I remember, but didn't think to right it down. 

If i'm honest I don't really understand it all, but i know how to set the number in OBD11 but beyond that i'm lost
