Love the advert - as others have said, seeing the Mark 7 in motion definitely makes it look better than in static photos.

I'm still not sure if the interior is a big upgrade on the 6...will have to see it for myself I think.

I sat in a Mk7 GT today and the interior was nice but certainly didn't seem a massive step up from the Mk6 GTI

What a class advert.

The mk7 seems more of a 6.5 than the 6 was a 5.5, very subtle changes. The VW way I suppose.

Do I want one? Oh yes.
Will I buy one?

Not sure. I am still deeply in love with my mk6, and at least 15k to change I might just keep the extended warranty going and wait for the 8.
Mk7 GTI. DBP, DCC, Winter pack. Mine since new, July 2013.
GTI no. 4. Golf no. 5.  VW no. 7.

Great ad I really like the MK7 but will wait a few years as I am in no hurry to get out of my ED35 as it is just such a hoot and there is not that much different in the look between the MK6 and 7 either. However I will be buying a MK7 GTI when the time comes. I love Vegas too have been a number if times, last time I drove down the strip was in a Hummer that I rented on a big tour of the west coast.

Sorry mate, didn't see your post. I need to pop into a Mercedes dealer soon. I've been meaning to look at them, with the potential of ordering an A45 AMG. I like that car apart from the wheels. It just looks too chavvy in that colour with those wheels.
