Thanks Bec

Unfortunately I can't guarantee that won't happen as she runs her own wedding photography business so has far too many ideas running around in her head lol!!! We're not rushing into it though and there's plenty of time for planning later!

Drove it for about 30 miles in 4th gear, forgetting that it has a manual gearbox.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

It's time you consigned the manual dinosaur to the scrap heap, i.e. sell it to some unenlightened sap!

Well its been on loan to my mother for a few weeks while her MK7 GTI is in for repair, it returns with no fuel and in need of a DAMN good clean!!

Also MOT time was due, and only advisory need to top up the oil.

Oh and he mentioned that there was oil around the turbo, which to me sounds expensive!

I will be getting it looked at VERY soon! but until then its back in the hands of my mother, until Thursday where it will be washed, polished and waxed ready for a wedding on Friday. can't go there with a dirty car now can I?

Passed its MOT no problems but an advisory about an oil leak possibly from the turbo.

You now get a very good walk round video of your car

What a weekend, my GTI has had, one day as a Wedding car, and then the day after it was loaded with bikes being used as a back up car for a group of mates that were cycling from Birmingham to Blackpool tower. Thats 150 miles which they managed to do in just over 16 hours! All for Birmingham Neo natal unit so proud of them.

Only downside was the MPG on the run home was disappointing, glad I don't have bikes on the roof all the time. 300 miles managed, one and a half tanks and 24.2MPG was almost crying!
