VW door speakers
« on: 28 May 2003, 17:12 »
I want to change my Golf`s door speakers to something with more quality and oomph behind them.

Running off a Kenwood cd head unit and nothing else, don`t want to add an extra Amp, due to costs.

Have made a shortlist for myself, but would appreciate any sound advice.

my m8s just got a mk2 gti 16v and hes running a sony cd head unit, orignal speakers sounded pants, so hes replaced them with jbl component speakers (orignal fittment jobbies), and the improvement is great, would advise them to any one who dosnt want an amp or any of that stuff, its alot clearer and deeper bass compared with standard jobbies, give it a go they didnt cost him that much, will find out exactly how much they cost him and let ya know

Cheers matey,
we had JBL`s in our GTI Civic last year and i could`nt fault them at all and also gave out more sound for the money too.

My shortlist so far is

JBL   gto 6525e
Alpine   sps-1729s
Kenwood   kfc 1768s

there all around the ?50 mark.
