I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Sorry if this is an old thread but I did use the search button

I have this problem on a 2002 MK4 GT TDI 150, did not do it before now it moves about and makes a strange squeeking sound every few seconds. Is this also normal or is a new tensioner required ?

Thanks and sorry for highjack but same question I had so thought so need for new thread ;)

No def not the air con, does it all the time although more so when the car is cold. Almost sounds like it is at the bottom of the engine ? What could that be ? Just had a rebuild so I am thinking more one of the aux components I.e air con, power steering etc  :undecided:

does not get worse when full lock on steering either an almost goes completely once engine warm. Hmmm
