Hi All
Recently purchased a used MK7.5 GTI 2019 manual 3 door and love it!
I have noticed that last week the keyless entry has stopped working and I can only open the car by pressing the buttons. Has anyone come across this before and any easy fixes? I still have manufacturers warranty so I can take it in if required...
Many thanks!
Shyam

Either the main car battery is low on voltage, in which case it’ll work after a 15-20 mile trip to top it up; or the battery in the key fob itself is getting low. Most likely the latter, though.

i think it could be the fob battery but I'm having the same issue with my spare key which surprised me

The battery in both fobs will likely be the same age. In a wireless key they're constantly searching for the car, so consume battery even if it's not in use. Both my keys needed new batteries at roughly the same time.

Noted, just ordered some batteries and will give it a go!
Thanks

With mine I find if I leave it a couple of days it goes in a sort of standby mode where I have to grab the handle 2-3 times for it to open, but after it’s open keyless works fine

yes mine does this too if it sits for a while especially with the key in a Faraday pouch. Just a press of the unlock button and it works again 👍
