DDX-6029 with iPod link - help

Just got this fitted and the manual isn't great.  It seems to interpret the iPod as a CD changer and only lists the first 10 albums or artists.  Anybody got this setup and can help - is this a limitation or is there an easy way to do it?  Thanks
