Today, I sold my Mk 8 after 13 months of ownership. Time for a change.

A shame, yours is a lovely looking example.

Which now begs the question - what is the replacement (and will you be sticking around so that jv can use his imagination on another new forum name 😁) ??

No replacement identified yet. I am full on in work (from home) for two weeks and it will be after that, at least, for picking anything up. There’s nothing local currently so I will have to cross the sea. Most probably a S3, I think. Following the precedent set by others I may well stick around and I will need a new ‘nom de forum’ or I can revert to my former self, if somebody helps me.

Ooohhh! I’m back. Thanks JV.  I admit I am an impatient sort of a being. Today I bought a new S3. Life goes on.

Good choice

I have a deposit paid for collection in a couple of weeks. S3 Sportback, 19” trapezoid, comfort + sound, red callipers, spare wheel + tools, Navarra blue. Due to work I don’t have time to get it before that.

They certainly gave me a much better deal than I was able to get locally. Still some minor points to discuss next week.

I got about £1800 off the list price, in addition to the £3k deposit contribution available at the time (£2k from VWFS and £1k from the dealership).
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
