Finished @Ceefeesh's GTI - Two stage paint correction including localised wet sanding, Gyeon CanCoat Evo, glass, plastic & rubber sealants:

There's be no great sunlight to capture any good photos but it's got a very good depth of shine for overcast weather.

That looks lovely ; great job @willni. I’ve commented on @ceefeesh’s alloys before but I’ll do it again - the alloys look great (much better than diamond cut IMHO) and they have an OEM+ look about them. The colour of the alloys works really well with the car’s grey paintwork IMHO.

Gave mine a clean today as I’m going to see what I can get in px tomorrow.
Looks so much better than standard,so I’m going to take it like this….and just let them know they can have it with richmonds and without the black roof and mirrors if they want.It was a frustrating car in the beginning with various issues but now they are all resolved(I get no warning lights or pings anymore) it’s actually a nice car.

Yes 2 years and 5 months,I’m undecided on wether I’m going for new or nearly new as a replacement so I figured if I look now and decide on new I could be waiting a while….and actually I’ve kept this car longer than any other(apart from my r/s turbo which I’ve had from new) I normally change after a year or so.

If you're lucky enough to have a GTi without bongs and warnings then you've been a very lucky man. I can't think of anything better in the price range and I'd keep it if mine was bong free.
Pure White Mk8 Clubsport
TD Motorsport Pro Y Spoke Wheels
1899 Software but new s/wheel & no bongs since 4/1/24

Gone: Mk7.5 GTE

Agreed!

If there’s one thing looking at other options might prove is that the GTI is actually better than just about anything else out there, unless something from another marque appeals just for the hell of it (Ford, Hyundai, BMW?)
