Im 19years old with no no-claims (because my passat is insured in germany).I heard good things about HIC so I thought i get a quote on the mk1 gti I just bought. And 3rd party fire+theft it is 594 quid for me. Is that good? or shall i try another company?
im 20 with two years no claims 1.8 mk3 driver, just me 480 third party fire and theft, all with quinn direct who are great for first time drivers!
I would say that is f**king good!I'm paying just over 500 for a mk2 8v and i'm 20 with 2 years no claims and i'm in pretty much the best post-code you can get!

I cant believe all these people who are driving GTIs in their teens. I put down a deposit on my MK2 16v when i was 20 only find out that most insurance companies REFUSED ME COMPLETELY and would under no circumstances insure me on a "hot hatch" until i was 21. Luckily i was due to turn 21 in a few weeks time and it was just a case of taking the car home on the back of a truck and keeping it on the drive for a while. Tesco Insurance thanked me for all those years of insurance on my previous car by wanting £1200 from me for the GTI. I said f**k that and decided to shop around for a bit before settling with churchill who i am paying just over £600 for fully comp, not bad i thought.
