i think thats where I am Kyle. In reality still like the car very much but want to do something else with it. I've always liked the side exit exhausts and rear diffuser of the GTi so maybe thats a mod i should look into instead ?

Excellent end of term review for Evo's long term GTI in this month's edition. Really captures what is great about the car and pretty much mirrors my feelings about the mk7.
I've had mine 8 months and normally after 4 or so I'm itching to change, but not even seriously looked into it once.
It's my favourite car owned to date hands down and the only slight disappointment is the fuel economy v claimed. Everything else is exactly what I wanted.

Unfortunately yes, it's an expensive character flaw!
