Rns 510 retrofit
« on: 24 May 2013, 22:27 »
Hi guys,
Have a couple of query's on the rns 510.
I have just installed it to my mk6 golf, replacing the base model head unit, any how it's all installed and working I'm running an alpine pdx amp powering front rockford speakers was a bit concerned at first as the rns has no RCA preouts but using a LOC and coding the rns 510 speaker out to 'line out' it sounds bang on!

My question is what exta coding is needed? I plugged in the vagcom this afternoon and I'm getting faults in
Navigation, radio and phone.

It's a version p unit.

Cheers James

Have a look in Central Electronics (9 i think) and tick navigation

Also look in can gateway and you may need some coding those modules you are showing errors in

Basically go through the modules and look for items relating to the nav
