Left hand side rubbing noise
« on: 07 July 2022, 21:18 »
Hi everyone hope you’re all well, help needed !!

I can hear like a buzzing or ticking sound (VERY faint so you might have to put your phone to your ear) coming from the left hand side. I’m unsure what the source of it is - it sounds almost like rubber rubbing?

I did recently change my front brake setup but I have jacked the front of the car up and let the wheels rotate but there doesn’t appear to be any rubbing with the discs/pads/calipers

It sounds almost as if the CV joint boot is rubbing, although I can’t see why this would happen when moving straight forward?

I have previously replaced the rear caliper due to the sticking piston issue so I’m pretty sure it can’t be that again because it was a completely different noise. It also doesn’t have the normal rotational hum of wheel bearing issues. i would appreciate if any of you had advice for me!!

Thanks - vid below
