I don't want to sound too stupid but what is portmatching?  I can't tell what you did from the pic lol  :smiley:

Simplest way to explain it:

Removing steps, seams or reductions in the port joins/edges to increase flow and reduce turbulence.  Even simpler, opening up the ports by grinding off excessive metal.   

Polishing is another process that often happens after this where all internal rough surfaces are smoothed.

I matched the ports to my already huge stock intake ports on my cylinderhead

wheelwell almost done.

Shame about the pitting of the steel on the cambelt cover.. Mine was the same.  Tempted to see if I can smooth it down with chemical metal when I redo all mine later this year.

Yess that is a shame, lukily when the engine is assembeld and put in the car, you will hardly notice
