The heaterbox has always been an issue on a mk2. Leaking heatercores and the foam that comes out the vents, every mk2 owner knows this issue.

So the decision to open it up was easily made.

Originally this golf gti doesn't have a katalytic converter, however i'm using a G60 exhaustmanifold so I needed a decat-pipe:
