And whats wrong with that... it's a good start for a car that weighs feck all. and later it won't take much to up it.

Nice progress mate!

200bhp will more than enough! A guy local to me has a Mk1 2.0 16v track car, gave me a good run up the motorway. His is much lighter than mine of course and I had 2 more people than him, but he has a standard engine, so 150-160.

i will let the pictures do the talking  :cool:

cut my aircon / alternator bracket in half doin away with the aircon pully



after



had to make a plate up to cover a little gap that was showing part of the fly wheel between the engine and gearbox



fitted



when i recieved the engine the people who had removed it had snaped one of the down pipe threaded studs off so i had to sort this easy fix tho



then i timed my engine up



cut my cambelt off checked my water pump which had already had a new one replaced sometime in its life with a uprated metal one RESULT :D and fitted my engine mount and cambelt tensioner then i fitted my new cambelt







got it all back together AND





 :cool: CHUFFED

done this all tonight  :grin:

haha all this week has been finish work at 5 get home get crackin and in bed at about 3 in the morning to then get up for 7 30 and go back to work

all paid off tho :D

yes mate i used the mk2 golf 16v tensioner  :smiley:

bit scary as this is my first ever go at mechanics but seems to be goin extremely well  :grin:

you will soon know if somethings wrong when you first run it up lool as long as you've took your time and double checked should be a breeze..
