I definitely can't afford a divorce....so I think I'll just avoid it

Going to book myself a few super car driving experiences to cheer myself up.

I saw this Toyota the other day , looked even better in the flesh, I wonder if I can talk the wife into one? I wonder if she would notice the mods going on

i've been looking at the classifieds at E30 M3s in various guises to take the place of the 35 in the longer term

love the M4 but for me they are just getting a bit too big, for me the 1M and 2M are in reality the spiritual successor to the M3

Just ordered up for the wife an Audi A1 Sportback 'Black Edition' S-Tronic which has the new cylinder on demand 1.4 litre engine. It should be quite a nippy little car and pretty fuel efficient at the same. Road fund licence is only £20 per annum

We went for Glacier White so it will look pretty much as pictured below.

The wifes happy which is the main thing ( so I'm in the good books for a change )

i have the 1.4 in my Polo Blue GT and its a cracking little engine, frugal when you need to be but capable of mixing it on the motorway, after 5k they also loosen up and sound happier at higher revs.

i'm off to the Frankfurt motorshow on Friday to look at this as a replacement for the Ed35

If you're gonna buy an E30 M3 then get in now as prices have soared in the last few years as I'm sure you'll know. I nearly bought one 7 years ago but opted for an E36 M3 Evo as I didn't have a garage and I think the E30 deserves one.....I wouldn't recommend an E36 M3 to anyone, way too tail happy

I did consider hanging out for the facelift model but we got a really good trade in price on her current car so thought we would take the plunge now. Spec wise we kept it simple, S Tronic, comfort pack and front armrest only. As you know the black editions are so well kitted out in the first place with Bluetooth, Xenons, and the Audi Sound System etc. The half leather s line sports seats look fantastic and were so comfortable in the showroom model we sat in.

It's a long waiting time though. Ordered last week and probably looking at nov/dec (that's VAGs for you).

It's the wife's car but I'm really looking forward to having a blast in it myself. I couldn't ever say that about her 08 vauxhall corsa but to be fair it's served us well and been faultless.
