Bonnet Stone Chips
« on: 04 April 2010, 18:13 »

How should I go about fixing this? Will the regular sand-spray-lacquer job do alright or not good enough?

I'm worried about the color match, otherwise I think it should be fine...

1.Put a Bra on it
or
2.Get another bonnet from a scrappy

That will be a pain in the arse to get anywhere near good mate

You're reading my mind, mate :D

I'm thinking about those 2 options, and bra sounds better to me, but is it suitable for every day use?

Mines on every day, no worries at all. Once a month I take it off and give the bonnet a polish & wax just to keep it clean under there!!

I vote for a new bonnet.. only what £20-30 instead of a bra which would cost more and cause more damage than good if not cleaned and let to get clogged up with rain!

I've offered him a new bonnet

I have a bra on my car as I do alot of motorway miles although I always forget to take it off so there's a lovely line across my bonnet now where the bra has been

have a similar issue with my bonnet after some massive pigeon took an enormous dump on my bonnet, took loads of laquer off when i cleaned it.

i might try carbon wrapping the bonnet to see what it looks like. I'll get a new bonnet if it looks

Actually carbon wrapping crossed my mind too, but I think it's a bit overpriced and might look chavish...

What about just wrapping in standard black vinyl?
