Why?  Were you not sure about them yourself?  I think they are one of those things that look good on paper but are neither one thing or the other in the flesh so just end up looking tacky.  Either normal carbon or gloss black would a much better look, but hell, it’s your car.

OEM+ that's the look I'm going for.
Hence OEM black gloss mirror caps, OEM(style) metal footrest, etc etc

And would consider paying (silly) money for the VW R lip spoiler (that thin gloss black lip spoiler)
