Removed my tuning box  - unsure what to do with the car so returning (power wise) to standard.

It still feels quick, so not too worried but it's definitely a lot slower than with it on!

In the 'for sale' section if anyone is interested.
2014 Golf GTI (PP) in Pure White with

Thanks for the tea and sympathy fellas - I just needed to vent about it (again).

They were the standard R silver mirrors.
Retail cost of the bits I need is ballpark 300 euro (whatever that is in STG). But fortunately my local dealers have been more than sympathetic and helpful and are heavily discounting that cost for me.

So while the cost to my wallet isn't so bad, the cost to my mental well being over the whole thing has been far greater.

Fair play to your dealer.
You could possibly just get the damage to the unpainted parts plastic welded and pick up some black caps off eBay(?)
£ to Euro pretty much 1:1 these days

The GTI is quite quick in the lower ranges compared to most things, the DTUK box really helps the upper rev band.

What would you replace the GTI with? Yours is so well sorted it'd take something special to replace it.

Sorry to see what they did to your car Joe. I'll have to keep mine in the garage.

I'm like a dog with two d.... tails

Spent 7 hours cleaning the outside on Saturday and still have the alloys to do

Tornado Red is so eye-catching. Though, unfortunately, I don't get the contrast with the GTI trim. :undecided:

There appears to be a big learning curve with all the new tech. I'm flicking through the manual most evenings. :nerd:
