« on: 31 October 2003, 13:51 »
can anyone recommend a cheap diy repair for my hood? it has a tear near the edge, about 2 inches long. probably normal wear and tear worn out on a fold!

Mines got a tear as well rite next to the window, where the press stud is for ur hood cover n i just used a circular puncture repair kit for the time being n taped up the inside for any leakage.I've also got a proper roof cover as a don't have a garage, just for extra waterproofing!Got me ma to modify(roof cover) so it is tight on the roof like a shower cap!Looks sh!te but does the job!-was thinking of going into production!

I was going to hunt down some vinyl from fabric-land and stick it on with evo-stick. On my old spitfire hood I think I used a bit of an old handbag found in the loft. might just use some gaffa tape for now though.
