Swapped out my wiper blades today.

Maybe went against the trend and changed to a set of front and rear Valeo Silencio blades, I've had these before on my previous Golf so I know they are good.

In case anyone wants the codes.

Rear = VR260
Front = VF388

All made in France.

Also put some anti-rattle tape on the rear seat catches as has been discussed in the other chat.

Why Valeo dare I ask?

I’m interested because like most people I replace the juddery OEM blades with Bosch Aero.
The upside of the Bosch being they glide quietly across the screen but seem susceptible to picking up bits of muck and smearing them slightly rather than digging in and scraping them off the screen.

I'm with Rudedog on this one as well, I fitted Bosch Aero on mine and regretted it. As you described the Bosch dig in and get on with the job so this is awful for coated windscreens, hence I get wiper judder with Bosch but not with oem or Valeo.

Must change them, but I hate paying for wipers strangely.

As mentioned by Willini the Bosch ones always seemed to catch small bits under the blade which then streaked across the screen, the Valeo ones are very light and made in slightly different way which when I had them on my TDi seems to work better.

They are more expensive though.

Might have to try them then. When I replaced mine with Bosch wipers I was all excited to have a nice clear windscreen, and within a few months it was awful again.

As others on here I've bought a set of the genuine VW mats with the red piping from Deutsche Parts, perfect to replace my rubber mats now I hope the weather might be changing.
