How did you ‘de-chrome’ the VW badge that is the sensor?

www.badgeskins.com

I got a vinyl skin for the badge so it doesn’t mess with the radar sensor (I guarantee that cos mine has worked fine for like a year)

Battery failed just after filling up. Changed it over an EFB one at the local Halfords, it was the only one in stock.

Is there any need to code the battery when replacing EFB with an EFB (same spec)? Starts and runs fine after a few warning lights which cleared after driving.

Yes it will need to be coded as the battery monitor won’t know that’s it’s a new battery and will shorten the life of the new battery. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t but it just won’t be charged optimally

@  zainahmed48

Sound like it will need to be 're-aligned'.
I had the same issue after mine had been in for a condenser replacement (AC was toast - Stone Chip!)
So I took it back and that was their response for what its worth, I think they messed it up when taking the bumper off / forgot to plug something back in

Spilt coke all over the centre console yesterday so was cleaning that up, while I was at it gave the leather a deep clean to stop it getting shiny.

Can I ask what you used to clean your leather?

I used two products today, both brands are very good in imo equal to each other. I don't use anything after cleaning to 'protect' the leather, sealants/protectors attract overtime making the leather dirtier and add to the shine.

ColourLock Strong Leather Cleaner on the seats https://www.colourlock.com/all-diy-products/cleaners-degreasers/strong-leather-cleaner-200-ml.html

On the steering wheel I used Furniture Clinic Ultra Clean https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/leather-ultra-clean?gclid=CjwKCAjw64eJBhAGEiwABr9o2GmeuN2NWvYVIoaMICgChhFez4pEmy9MJt_wnYpPO3fgJ2C9NOmn9BoCQWgQAvD_BwE

Looks great! You'll be earning your apple crumble soon enough when you're asked to wax it
