Maybe it’s the 8.5 I’m looking at?? 2-3yo the 354bhp with the newer virtual cockpit.

Not up to speed with my audis yet

That is the B8.5..... from 2019 onward the S4 came with a 347 bhp 3L diesel. The point being there are not that many late petrol cars to choose from (relative to Gti's).
Nice cars, i would have one if I needed more space.

The A4 B9 started late 2015, so there are 2016/17/18/ early 19 S4s out there with the petrol engine. Facelift B9.5 came in MY20 in Summer 19. My A4 was likely last of the pre- facelifts as it was registered in Jul 2019.

I'd rather have the diesel - thrash it and still get well over 40mpg. Thrash the petrol, get 22mpg!

Bought mine (190TDI) because I convinced myself that I needed the extra room with a growing Labrador pup and to provide a bit more legroom behind me for the kids...

The big boot came in useful for a recent trip to Ikea!
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

The diesel S4 would be nice but quite a bit out of budget!

Don’t do massive mileage wife does a longer run on the motorway once a week(about 80 miles return) they seem to do around 40mpg cruising.

They look really good and IMO much nicer than the original diamond cut finish. Much better durability too, so no issues with white worm corrosion.

Because you can now see all the spoke details, they look like completely different wheels. I like.

Rewinding to the subject of idiot SUV drivers clattering doors, I got my dent fixed tonight. Went with the £70 PDR quote, not the £206 chips away quote.

Those PDR guys must be worth a fortune. I thought £70 would entail at least 30 mins work...he was done in 7 minutes! Asked me to drop the window, pushed an inflatable pillow into the gap, dropped a plate down to shield the window glass and then shoved a rod in to do all the pushing out.

£10 a minute...I'm in the wrong job.

Dent-Tek at Chester-le-Street - highly recommended.

In fairness my 95 quid guy was at work for at least 20 mins plus getting to and from me, I accepted 95 was ok.
And no more feeling pissed off when I look at the car so “ everyone’s ‘appy”.

I drove to him, feeling a bit robbed purely on the amount of time he was working for the money

I suppose they take a little risk of how long a job will take, just working off photos to figure out how long a job will take and what it will entail.

Can't fault the quality of the work though.

Thanks to my purchase from Watts, i got around to fitting my TT short shifter to my car.  What a difference this small mod makes to the drive of the car. I’m now considering this again for my wife’s A3.

For anybody considering it, fitting took around 10 minutes or maybe 15 tops.
