Sootchucker, its the rear axle cover that needs a bracket attaching, not the rear exhaust cover-my mistake.
Aren’t they a doddle to fit, provided you can get under your car ok.
Did you follow ‘golfdaves’ how to?

Absolute doddle to fit, in all after jacking the car up took about 40 mins to fit both (and 10 mins of that was trying to see how they fitted - which was actually pretty obvious).

Golfdave’s instructions spot on.

Sootchucker, do you have any part numbers please, I`m only after the front exhaust cover.

What other under body covers have you fitted?

Pulled the trigger on a new BMW M135i.

I couldn't wait any longer for details of the Mk8 R. I would have been keen on the GTI but nobody could give me a definitive of when the books would open or when indeed the cars would arrive in the UK not to mention the spec etc.

I know Covid has messed up a lot on this planet and not just VW but they really need to get the finger out or they will lose a lot more customers.

Nice!

What spec did you go for? What are delivery times like at the moment?

Can't say I blame you either for the choice or the disappointment with VW....

I just went for the full Bhuna

Misano Blue
Magma Leather
Tech Pack
Plus Pack
Comfort Pack
Load through
Lumbar suppor

I was told the car should be delivered by the end of September which suprised me.
Apparently Its going to confirmed build any day so just made it.
I'll believe that when I see it

Last 5 cars have all been VAG so it feels weird leaving.
In fact as per sig we had the GTD, GTI & R all in the household for a couple of years so the neighbours will think its really weird

Very nice!

I see android auto has arrived at bmw now.

I also note that the 128ti might even be a thing, 260ps and fwd....

Not sure when, but definitely a thing and pitched head on as a "golf gti"

Would need to be four to five thousand quid rrp less than the m135i though and I'm not sure that's likely.
