[/quote] don't think they do do they? Didn't someone have some 17s and they scraped on the balancing weights. Is it not why the winter options are 18s?

I run 17” wheels to my GTI PP every winter, never had any issues

They great and suit the GTI so well! I'd be tempted with some of the CS centre caps to add some extra colour...

Those spokes really do show off the calipers nicely.  Looks really good!

Oh they look so much nicer than the racingline ones (and copies). Why are the nicest looking mods always the priciest!

Today I've had an oil change and new battery. Never actually tested the old one but it was draining excessively quickly; warnings coming on to start the engine after only 10-15 mins of sitting with only the radio on :/ coming up to 4 years old and had a discount voucher at National anyway, so just thought I'd get a brand new one in.

Ordered some Brooklyn's

Looking forwards to seeing pictures of the Brooklyn's on the car. I'm old school when it comes to wheels much prefer silver to black.

Thanks, I'll get some pictures up once I get them fitted. I wanted to go down to 17's whilst keeping everything OEM.
I hope you don't have a pp GTi?

I do, just like this guy.

There's threads on MK7/ROC/Vortex of people listing all the OEM 17's that fit over PP/R brakes. Some are pretty tight and need low profile weights, but a lot of them fit no problem.

we use a wheel tree to store our wheels when not in use, similar to this one:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Formula-523585-Original-Wheel-Cover/dp/B003154A3Y/ref=pd_lpo_263_t_2/259-7284663-8521007?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B003154A3Y&pd_rd_r=c07905e3-4cba-4250-9ae6-f8779ea5dfd4&pd_rd_w=ItiJL&pd_rd_wg=f6TKL&pf_rd_p=7b8e3b03-1439-4489-abd4-4a138cf4eca6&pf_rd_r=N6DW3KB3FQD185YNG8AC&psc=1&refRID=N6DW3KB3FQD185YNG8AC

Forgive me I'm new to this, what happens to your wheels if you stack them just one on top of the other for months at a time? Didn't even know these were a thing but then again I've never had to store a set of wheels before.
