Got home tonight from a week on the Isle of Skye. My GTi PP has done nearly 950 miles since Sunday and averaged 43.7mpg. My front suspension is extremely knocky for the first 10 minutes every journey and then appears to settle down. I can't think of another car in the same class that will effortlessly do what I've done this week. I haven't been driving slowly either with a lot of spirited and safe overtaking when necessary (you have to really on roads like that 😉). I haven't kept a car this long in recent times (will be three years in December) and I'm thinking of trying to get a TCR to keep for a good few years.

Fitted my newly re trimmed steering wheel.


Just need to retrofit my mk7.5 rear lights and loom when it’s not raining.

Drove my MK7 GTI  for the first time in a 5 days and wont be driving it for another week as I am of to LeMans 24 this week

Great car but I struggle to use the performance the roads and traffic just don't allow it

Where did you buy the lights and loom from and cost?
Also could you take a few photos of when you are fitting for reference please.

Love the steering wheel btw.
